Welcome to The Battle for Middle Earth Reborn version .96

The installation should be easy and painless if you follow the below instructions.

1) Open the BFME_Reborn.rar file
2) Extract the BFME_Reborn folder to your c:\ drive. (If you are using winRar, just drag the BFME_Reborn folder to you c:\ drive)
3) In the contents of this rar file you will see a shorcut for the game.  Move that wherever you would like to store it.  You will use this to play the game.
4) Double-click the shortcut and the mod will run.

A checklist for trouble-shooting:

- Verify that the folder BFME_Reborn is in your C:\ directory.  (Or you can move it wherever you want, but you'll need to change the path in the shortcut)
- Verify that you are using the 2.01 patch
- Verify that the shortcut has the correct path for where you installed the game.  By default it will assume that you installed it here - "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king" or for some of the newer comps, the Program Files (x86) folder.  The (x86) shorcut is attached for user convenience.  You can rename it once you place it on your computer.



If the game icon is not showing up properly then do the following

1) Right click on the icon.
2) Click properties
3) Click Change Icon...
4) Click Browse...
5) Navigate to "C:\BFME Reborn\art\compiledtextures\ic\icon1.ico
6) Click Ok and your set!

Note: If you changed installation path, then navigate to the appropriate directory above.
