Scouring of the Shire is a Modification for EA's game the Battle for Middle Earth™. This mod is based on the journey home for Merry, Pippin, Sam and Frodo, after the destruction of the ring. If you've read the book, you might know that one off the last chapters in it is named Scouring of the Shire, and if you've only seen the movies, then there is no such thing. A short brief: Scoring of the Shire tells about what Saruman did after he managed to lure Threebeard, to let him go out of his tower. Yes, he's actually not dead. In secret Saruman had sent ruffians and villains from around Isengard to The Shire only a couple of months after Frodo departed, and now he joined up with them, and he had Grima with him. The ruffians managed to get the control really fast, as the hobbits did little resistance, with the exception of the Tooks. When the four travelers return home, after a long journey, they find the Shire in ruins. They quickly manages to assemble and army of hobbits and attacks the wildmen! They eventually win, and later they meet Saruman and Grima in the Bag End, Frodo's house. You decide the fate of the most peaceful race in Middle-Earth.
