With finalbig editor you can extract BIG Files to anywhere on your computer. Then you can edit them with notepad or some text editing program (Most work) Notepad++ is the best to use. You can also make your own BIG file with this program.

if you're using finalbig to code, you're seriously doing something wrong. try extracting it all and using colorINI

i think finalbig rocks :P it can be used for both BFME modding and EAW modding (depending on what version u have)

FinalBig has some features you wouldn't expect from such a software. I personally use it exclusively for compiling .big files, but it has improved code handling features as well as nice things (.w3d viewer and what-not).

the only reason I use FinalBIG is because I have too. the interface and/or seriously working with it is far too tedious for me

still, nice of the guy to basically enable modding :p
