Which programs do i need to model?

For modelling you need a modelling program. sound kinda logic.
An example for modelling programs =

-3dsmax 6, 7, 8
-Renx/Gmax

Renx/Gmax is free, 3dsmax is not free. By this tutorial i put a link to download renx and gmax. Thanks to Flameguard.

You also need the W3D importer to import/export the W3D files in the modelling programs. I have also put a link by this tutorial on a other tutorial what tells you how to set up the w3d importer.

EA has also released a mod SDK which helps you by modding with a W3D viewer so you can view youre w3d's

You need also another program called FinalBIG. With this program you can look in the .big files and extract them to a place.
