Ethring is a city situated in the Ringlò-Valley at the riverside of the river Ringlò.

This is a 4-player map. Originally I made this map for the Edain Mod, but it work with RotWK too. There are just a few objects missing (but you won't notice this, if you haven't played the Edain version^^).
This is my second map. I would be glad to receive some feedback, so I can improve my skills.

A few screenshots (I have reworked the textures of the map, so they will be a little different than the ones you see in the sreenshots)

Thanks a lot for your feedback and also for your great tutorials, my maps would be way worse, if you hadn't written them^^

I've already done a few new maps (which are better than this one imo). However, they will be released together with our mod

Really quite a good map, especially for a second try. The texturing is quite nice, it has an interesting layout, and there's some lovely object placement, especially around those smaller rivers that wind through the terrain.

The objects within the city are really nice, but could maybe use a bit of improvement. The buildings are all scaled quite large, which looks a little unrealistic, and doesn't leave much room for units to move through. I'd say it would look better if you added in more building, but have them all their normal 1.0 scale.
Also, there's a lot going on with the different types of buildings you have - there's Rohan walls, Gondor buildings, Corsair buildings, bits and pieces from Fornost, Grey Havens, Celduin and Dale.. It all gets a bit too much. It could be nicer if you were to restrict yourself to a few sets of buildings, so that the map has a certain style, rather than being a mish-mash of lots of different things.

All in all though, a decent map, and worth having a look at.

Feel free to criticize. Don't worry, I won't bite you ;)
