---HOW TO DO IT!---

Hmm... not the best way to phrase the title, eh?

Okay, I assume that you have Final Big downloaded by now. The best part about the program is that a total novice at modding can do it. Yes, even you! And yes, even me...

I'm going to also assume that your computer is something like mine. Perhaps you have Vista or something similar. If you can't follow these instructions I'm going to lay out, then I can't help you.

Here are the steps:

1) Go to your Desktop

2) Right click on your "Battle for Middle Earth II" or "Rise of the Witch King" icon.

3) On the little menu you get from right clicking, there should be a 'properies' button. Click it.

4) For my computer, not necessarily saying yours, there is a button on another menu that says "Open File Location". Click on that.

5) Your "ini.big" file might now just say ini. Double left click on that.

6) FinalBig just popped up, and now there's a long list of files you don't recognize. Don't get too flustered. Stay with me. Scroll down until you see this file on the list to the left.

data\ini\gamedata.ini

Left click it.

7) Click inside the window that the text is in, so you can scroll all the way down to the bottom. Then scroll down all the way bottom. :P

8) Scroll up slowly, and read the lines as you go. Soon you will find a bit of text that reads:

UseHelpTextSystem = Yes
EnableHouseColor = Yes

Delete the Yes from the "EnableHouseColor" line and replace it with a no. The program will ask if you want to enable the editor, or something along that lines. Just click yes.

9) Exit out of FinalBig. Don't forget to save your changes!

10) Open up BFME2 or ROTWK and make sure it worked!

Definitely helped me 6 years after it was created. Link is dead though, but it isn't difficult to google.

Hmmm... my concern is that you are directly editing the original ini file. Not the best way to approach it.
