So once you have found it click Open, The model will appear....

You may wonder why he has a box on his head. Well this is called a Bounding Box as we dont need to see it right now select it, Then right click on it and select "Hide Selection"

User imageUser image

Now that is gone we can see aragorn, We also need to hide his Skeleton.. except this time we will hide it another way, Select aragorn & right click on him you will see a option saying "Hide Unselected" click it.

User imageUser image

Now that we have got rid of all those parts that where getting in the way we need to select Aragorn himself, Select him and right click, This time we will need to choose a option called "Covert To Editable Poly"

User image

On the right side you in the Menu Bar you will see a option called "Editable Poly" It has a plus sign next to it, Click on the plus.

User image

When you click on the plus it will Extend and give you more options. They will be Vertex, Edge, Border, Polygon & Element. We need to click on Vertex

MoriaGoblin - Thursday September 10, 2009 - 6:58

Man, wen I open The W3D/art/W3D only FINAL.BIG is in it.

Windrider - Friday July 17, 2009 - 19:47

drogoth232 - Wednesday July 15, 2009 - 7:08

I cant find the toolbar area on the right hand side of the screen. It was there before I dont know what happened. It pops up in the beginning and then dissapears from nowhere.

Erm my w3d files is diffrent from yours, i dont got W3d\Art\W3d i got w3d\art\ (and then i can choose from 32 diffrent folders, i found one with guaragorn.pala and guaragorn.palb but no other guaragorn files, and its missing like 87% of all the models I CANT EVEN FIND GONDOR SOLDIER!!! What should i do? please tell me how you extracted your files with finalbig. and was it from rotwk?

Windrider - Wednesday July 1, 2009 - 7:32

could someone please give me the directory for guaragorn_skn? thanks. BTW, it's not in my w3d.big file. I extracted everything and still cant find it. Could it be in the original bfme2 folder?

Argeleb - Friday September 19, 2008 - 5:54

Models that are not from ROTWK aren't working, what's the problem?

FlameGuard - Thursday August 21, 2008 - 7:21

The tutorial is not "incomplete" it was not ment to show you how to export the model. The exporting process from this tutorial to ingame ready is still far more, You must import the skeleton, Bind the model, Export and then do some asset.dat creation.

This tutorial was planned to be one of a series, Due to working on other projects i do not have the time to continue the plans and beacuse of this, Only a few have been completed.

At a later date, maybe next month. I plan to work on and get some more of them up.

If you wish to export your model as it is after this tutorial, You simply need to go to File > Export.

Open W3D.big in FinalBig (google it)

Go to top

"One site to rule them all, one site to find them,
one site to host them all, and on the network bind them."
